He earned his Bachelors degree in Anthropology from Richard Stockton University in 1985 where he focused on cultural anthropology. He has also completed two years at the Jung Institute of Philadelphia where he studied the theory and clinical application of Analytical Psychology and the work of Carl Gustav Jung. He is currently enrolled in the 2020-2021 academic year at the Institute. He pursues the independent study of Comparative Religion, Mythology, Trauma Informed therapy and the application of clinical strategies in uncovering and addressing early childhood trauma, complex trauma as experienced by veterans and first responders, and Mindfulness as it applies in clinical practice.

C.G. Jung stated, "In many cases in therapy the patient who has come to us has a story that is not told, and which as a rule no one knows of. To my mind, therapy only really begins after the investigation of that wholly personal story. It is the patient's secret, the rock against which s/he is shattered."

My practice involves creating a client/therapist relationship and environment where this wholly personal story can be explored and brought to consciousness. I work to create a safe, accepting, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space that will bring wholeness and meaning to the suffering that every human experiences.

I specialize in a psychodynamic approach and a variety of situationally appropriate client-centered approaches to resolve whatever problems are presented in the consulting room. These problems include, substance abuse, anxiety, depression as well as emotional and developmental problems related to economic and relationship hardship.

In the course of our lives we all experience emotional hardship. William Faulkner wrote that the "the past is not dead, it's not even past." My role is to be present with you as a guide in the exploration and uncovering of your personal story and to gain a deeper understanding into the connection we all have to the past and the present. The goal is to regain personal authority. In doing so we are able to put your suffering in a context that brings meaning and a firm ground from which you may move forward in your life course.
