Over thirty years of neuroscience research has demonstrated the benefits of mindfulness training. Cognition, social-emotional skills, and overall well-being is improved.  Mindfulness in the workplace can help employees be more present and productive, reduce their stress, and increase their satisfaction at work. During the Covid-19 era, we are offering online training.

Mindfulness Explained

Mindfulness is the present-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and environment, which arises when we pay attention in a purposeful way. Mindfulness training increases the mind’s capacity for awareness and attention. It teaches us to harness our ability to focus and concentrate so we can be fully present with the task at hand. Applied to work this can result in greater innovation and efficiency.    Engaging in mindfulness training also benefits our emotional wellbeing.The mind and body are part of an integrated system. Exercises in mindfulness engage the part of our nervous system that when met with adversity, helps us to remain calm and relaxed. Through mindfulness we can learn to recognize when we are stressed and use mindfulness as a tool to regulate our emotions so that we can intentionally respond to our environment, rather than react to it. Another component of mindfulness training is the intentional cultivation of positive states of mind, such as kindness and compassion. These habits of mind are essential to working productively with others and collectively result in a happier, healthier, and more resilient work environment.

We will consult with you to learn about your needs and create an action plan that brings mindfulness to your workplace, while addressing the unique needs of your environment and employees. His passion for yoga and meditation were ignited as he experienced the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the practice. His teaching experience extends to studio, school, college, and workplace settings.
